Behind The Scenes

This is a story of how Faith, Trust and Prayer operate behind the scenes

This is about a guy named Rich and Rich worked in construction. He has not too long ago started his journey with Christ. He was on his way to work one day, and he looked in the mirror and asked God to show him his power. He wanted to see Gods hand move in his life along with his sister’s life. He has always heard of stories and wanted to have a great experience himself. He started this new project on the road down the street from a pizza shop and check-cashing place.

One day on his lunch break. Rich walked into the pizza shop and asked for two slices of pizza. One of them looked at Rich with a certain look. Rich didn’t understand why the guy looked at him like that. Since he loves pizza, that wasn’t going to stop him from eating there. So, he got the two slices and left. This continued for weeks. One day Rich ordered two slices of pizza, and one of the guys took a long time to bring out his pizza. He was almost running behind. Once he got the pizza. He was really upset that it took so long.  Now he wasn’t going to have time to eat it.

While walking out the store he nearly bumped into a guy that looked a little off to him, but Rich was in a rush. So, he felt that the Lord told him to ask the guy if he wanted the pizza. As much as it hurt his heart to do so. He told the guy that he had just brought these two slices and asked him if he wanted them because he was late getting back to work. So, the guy took the pizza, and Rich ran down the street to his job site. Rich was so upset that he didn’t get a chance to eat the pizza. While on a quick break Rich called his sister to wake her up for work. She answered and told him she was up but was dragging. She told him thanks and she hung up and continued to get ready. Once ready she walked out the door and bumped into a strange looking man. She said sorry and tried to walk past him and he grabbed her.

He pulled out a gun and told her to walk behind the building. She was afraid and began to pray to the Lord. As she was praying the guy started to grab his head and he dropped to the ground. He passed out before her. She ran from behind the building and grabbed her phone and went into the house. She called the police to tell them what happened and then she called her brother to tell him what happened. Once he got the news, he told his boss that he must leave. He told him his sister needed him. She was held at gun point and is afraid. His boss said go ahead and get your sister.

On his way to the car. He was running and not looking. A bus almost hit him in the street. The bus stopped and the driver opened the window and yelled at him and advised he could have killed him. Rich apologized and jumped in his car to see his sister. Once he arrived at the house. He saw the police and his sister. She ran to him and told him what had happened and she was glad to see him. She then told Rich she needed to stay with him for a few days until she finds out what happened with the guy. Rich said for sure.  

Rich went back to work the next day, and, on his lunch break, he went to get some pizza. When he walked in the store. The guys looked strangely at Rich like they were surprised to see him. Rich thought it was because they figured he would be upset because of how long they took with his pizza order. The one guy asked him if he was ok. He said yes, I’m fine. He asked him if he was getting the usual again? He said yes! They looked at each other, and he got him the pizza, and it didn’t take as long as the last time. Rich was happy that he had time to eat lunch. Almost back to the Job a bus pulls up and stops at the stop sign and yells at Rich.

Rich turns around and notices the guy on the bus that was calling him was the bus driver from the day before that almost ran into. The bus driver wanted to apologize to Rich. The bus driver said after he thought about it. He remembered seeing Rich’s face like something had happened and he knew it was more than not paying attention. So, he asked Rich if everything was ok. Rich told him it was better than yesterday for sure. The bus driver told him to watch out and be safe. Rich said you do the same. The bus driver stopped Rich and told him the Lord would come through for him. Using the person he thinks the least. After that a few minutes go by and Rich is almost finished with his food. A young lady walks by Rich. Rich looks at her and she looks at him and Rich turns his back to put the pizza plate in the trash.

The lady not paying attention walks pass the closed street sign and trips onto the ground. Rich runs over to her and helps her up before the truck ran her over. She told him thank you and he asked if she was ok. She told him she was now. She looked and just now saw the dump truck passing that would have hit her if Rich hadn’t acted fast enough. Rich told her she must be careful walking through here. She was so grateful that he grabbed her when he did. That truck would have run me over and didn’t know anything. Rich told her she was ok now and he walked her to her car, and said nice car. She told him thank you very much. He said I wish I could afford one of these one day. She laughed and said you'll never know.

Later that evening Rich was pulled into the office by his supervisor and was told he was being let go. Rich was hurt and asked why. The supervisor said that the project had some changes that would cost extra money and they needed to cut some costs somewhere since he was the last one on. It was going to be him. He told Rich it was nothing personal, it was just business and if anything, pick up he would call him first. Rich left and was upset and confused. Rich went home and his sister was there and asked what happened and he told her that he was let go of his job. She told Rich that this guy came to the house looking for him.

She said he said he advised you about when you were supposed to be moving out of the house soon and wanted to see if you needed any help. Rich looked at her with a confused face. She told Rich that the guy said that he sent you the letter weeks ago. Rich said I never got a letter from the owner. Rich went to look at the mailbox and noticed some of his mail was on the ground along with others. He looked through the mail and found the letter, and it advised that the owner was selling the house and Rich had 30 days to leave. It was already two weeks ago the letter was typed up. So, the only thing he could think of was to move in with his sister and he didn’t have enough money to move all his stuff, so he just left the stuff he didn’t need and allowed them to keep the deposit to clean out the unit.

Rich didn’t understand why this was happening to him. He started to pray and ask the Lord. What is going on? He said to the Lord, “I asked you to show me your power and this starts to happen. If this is your power, then I don’t know if I want it. But I do trust you and even though I don’t understand. I’m going to see this throw.

The next day he goes to check on his old job site and sees work still going on. He didn’t even bother to see his old boss. He went to the pizza shop and ordered a pizza from the same two guys that were there before. They looked at him and one of them couldn’t help it and asked him. How are you still living? Rich asked what do you mean? The one guy said you should be dead according to my brother. Rich said “what? See, the one guy that Rich thought was the same guy that was talking to him. Was really the twin of the guy that used to serve Rich. The other guy his brother was killed in a car accident. But before he got into the accident, he told his brother some of the bad things he had done in his life. One of them was trying to kill you. Rich said “why me? He said that his brother said he was hearing from the devil. The devil told him to poison your pizza. He said he held you up one day and made you late trying to put the poison on your pizza. He was putting a high level of poison on your pizza. Rich was very upset and remembered that day. He said I was trying to get back to the job, and I gave my pizza to a stranger. So, that’s why he looked at me funny when I came back the next day. Wow! The guy said “I’m sorry for my brother’s actions. Please forgive me for that. Please don’t take it out on me or the business. I had nothing to do with that. I recognized you from me being here and what my brother told me about you. You might not have known because we look just alike.

Rich said, “I wish your brother was here. I would have forgiven him. Then the other guy said what? Rich said I would have forgiven him. Because the devil is very tricky and I was taught that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood. So, it was the spirit that got in him that pushed him to do it. I had no problems with your brother. We never really talked or had anything against each other. Why else would someone hurt someone with no cause. That’s how the devil works. While he was talking to the guy. He happens to see the TV playing the news and they reported the story of the man that tried to rob his sister at gun point dropped dead a few weeks ago. That they had identified him as. James Stokes. And they showed a picture of the guy.

Rich realized that they were talking about his sister’s robber. When he saw the face. It was the same guy he gave the pizza slice to that day. He told the guys to watch the TV and told them that’s the day they were just talking about. That’s the guy he gave the pizza slices too. They told Rich it can’t be right. What are the odds of that? So, Rich started to put it together in his head that God spoke to him telling him to give the guy the pizza. That guy gets poisoned and died to save his sister from getting shot. Rich said it was all working together for both of us. Leaving the shop, he starts to talk to himself about what he just saw. Now he is trying to put the pieces together. His sister tells him she has lost her job, and they both are out of work now. No matter how many Jobs they had applied for nothing was coming through. So, it must be a point in this. They were behind on everything and not sure what to do.

One day his sister was starting to get really negative about the situation. Rich told her that God was going to do something for them just didn’t know what and how. He just knew it. He said have faith. She told him if faith was on some dollar bill, I would be fine. He didn’t want to hear anymore from her. She kept going on with all the things they had sold to keep money coming in. They are about to be evicted. He just couldn’t handle it anymore. He turned around and said to his sister. The same God that I’m talking about was the same one that saved you behind my house. He is the same one that saved me from the pizza guy. He is the same one that will get us out of this.

He leaves and goes outside and sits on the curb. Just talking to the Lord about what’s going on. Then this person walks up beside him and says to him hey stranger. He looks up and looks at this lady standing over him. She asked him. Do you remember me. He said I think so. You are the lady that almost got hit by the truck a while back, right? She said I am. He said good to see you. What are you doing over here?  She said I’m in the neighborhood checking on my properties and you are sitting in front of one right now. He said which one. She said this one. He said no way. She asked why you say that. He said because my sister and I live here and we are about to get evicted. A lot has happened to us, and we just couldn’t keep up with everything. She said wow. She said since you did save my life. And there is no way I can repay you for that. The least I can do is help you. So, this is what I will do. I will allow you two to stay here as long as it takes for you to get back on your feet. You don’t have to pay anything. Also, I’m glad I ran into you. I visited that site where you saved me. I looked for you multiple times hoping I ran into you.

Rich asked her why you were looking for me. She said because I wanted to give you something. I kept putting this in my car in case I ran into you. Here is a check for five hundred thousand. He said what is that for. She said I had hit the lotto, and I wanted to say thank you for saving me. He said stop playing. He said thank you so much. I don’t know what to say. She said just thank God! Rich said I truly do. She said now that I got that finished. I also wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out sometime. I kind of found you cute that day. Plus, any man that was willing to save me from hurt is worth getting to know. He said oh really. Laughing and crying at the same time. He said sure, just not tonight. I have news to tell my sister and things to do. I will see you later! They exchanged numbers.

He ran upstairs to tell his sister what happened and she couldn’t believe it and she began to thank God because. She told Rich the Lord has really shown me who he is now. Because I prayed for this. He said I did too. He walked into the bathroom and looked into the mirror and told God. I knew you were going to show me your power somehow. I didn’t think you had to take me through all of this. But it was worth it all. Even though I couldn’t see what was going on. But I still trusted you through it all.

Rich heard a small still voice in his head saying. I got you! Keep walking!

So, here we have a person that asked the Lord to do something for them. Many times, we ask the Lord to do something to show us he is real or he is really for us. When we do that things start to happen. Especially when you have a true heart when you asked. Some of these things will not feel go or look good at the time. But allow it to take its course. If you read the story of Joseph, you will understand what I mean. (Genesis: 37) There are some life events that will change you forever. Somethings are just a part of the journey. It’s all making you into the person you are today.

See, when Rich asked the Lord to show him his power. He never thought it would come this way, shape or form. There were so many moving parts in that situation. You would have thought it stopped there with the pizza shop. But the Lord knew what was coming before Rich and his sister did. He uses people to get things done here in the earth. Because that’s the realm we are living in. But he works behind the scenes. Behind the scenes is behind this natural world we live in.  The world that we can't see with our eyes. The spiritual world is where all these things happen before we walk into it. You want me to prove it? I can if you like. I will do it anyway.

Have you ever had what people call a Déjà Vu? When you happen to walk in a moment in time. Then realize that you have seen this moment before or you have done this already. That is not a natural thing that happens. Why? Because you have seen something in the future that didn’t exist in real time until it got here. When it got here you remembered you were there before. That moment had already existed. God just allowed you to see it before it got here naturally. It had to be real because if it wasn’t you wouldn’t have ever walk into it. The same people you saw in the vision are there as well. At some point in time you weren't thinking about it, but God allowed you to travel into a day that naturally had not happen yet. Or place a vision or thought in your mind but because you are so busy in the day. You paid no attention to it.

So, when it pops up in that moment you felt like you have been there already. That’s because the Lord has shown you these visions weeks or years ago. Your body just now catching up to where God took your spirit man. Or catching up to a vision or dream you didn’t remember he gave you. See, your spirit man is behind the scenes like everything else in the spiritual world. That’s why you can’t see yourself without the skin and the bones that represent you here on earth. That’s why we can see things like spirits which people call ghosts. Ghost is the name that natural man has given what we are seeing in the spirit world. Since people don’t really title things according to the word of God. They have to give these things a name. Same as the Déjà Vu name. It’s really visions and dreams that the Lord has given us to see these things. Some people have certain gifts that bring them into that as well. But because they don’t know what’s happening to them. Or why they are seeing these things. They go with the first thing they hear from other people or what they have heard in times past about these spiritual events.

See, how Rich's prayer helped his sister out? See, how prayer caused someone else to go through something? See, how she was blessed because of what he asked? Not only was her life changed. She began to believe in the Lord through what was happening to her brother. Then she also prayed to the LOrd as well to show her his power. The bible tells us the prayers of the righteous availeth much (James 5:16). Which means it works more often than none. The scripture also talks about how faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17) Sometimes we believe in things when we hear people talk about them. When people give testimonies about things it sometimes helps us feel like these things can happen to us as well. Why do we think people play the lotto? Because they heard someone hit the numbers before. So, if a normal person that lived in my area hits it and this is a real thing. Then I might play as well knowing that the possibility of me hitting is real. Not saying me personally but the general idea of most people.

So, once he told her how things happened to him with that guy who tried to kill her. She can only think about what the chances of that happening the way it did. Just think about if he wasn’t obedient when the Lord told him to give the guy his pizza. That guy might have been fine and well and robbed and killed his sister. She might have lost her life because of it. But God is the master at coordinating things to work out things for our good. I just want to leave you with this. When things are happening and it doesn’t make sense to you. If you are going through these things because you are trying to live for the Lord. Something good is being worked out on your behalf and he is making you stronger and teaching you, his ways. If you’re going through while not in the Lord. You have a few things going on. Life is beating you up, the devil is running your life and keeping you from the truth. The Lord might just be using the devil and bad situations to push you into his arms for you to be saved. I rather go through for the things of God and get great rewards and love from a true and living God. Then go through and don’t get rewarded for the hell I'm going through. There is a great gift at the end of this lift.

I pray that you seek the greater ending. I pray that you seek the better life. I pray that you seek the Kingdom of Heaven and it's righteousness. (Matthew 6:33)
