I Just Might Be Benny?

Here is a story of a young guy that has the whole world in front of home. He's allowing life to make his decisions for him instead of making good decisions. He finds himself making bad decision costing him to find out things the hard way.

Benny had a friend named Faith, and Faith & Benny grow up as childhood friends. Their parents knew each other since they were kids. Always lived in the same neighborhood. Faith was a little older than Benny, so she went through a few things earlier in life then Benny. She grew up in a strict household. Her parents gave her a lot of wisdom growing up. So she never really got in trouble, she always listened to her parents. Didn’t go where everyone else went. Her parents believed in the Lord and, that was instilled in her from a small age. Benny on the other hand, did the complete opposite. He was out doing whatever, whenever he wanted to do it. Parents didn't believe in the Lord. He also grew up with two male friends James and Billy. When you saw Benny, you saw James and Billy. Faith never did like them for his friends. She felt they were bad influences on him. Over the course of time. He had fun partying, clubing, girls, smoking, sleeping with different women, drinking you name it.

During that time, his life was getting out of control. Losing jobs and late bill payments. He was being blinded by the fun and fast life, leaning on Faith for help at times. Many nights he would crash on her couch, and had her come pick him up from somewhere when he got in trouble. She did it and never complained about it. She would always telling him. He needs to get his act together.

One day changed it all. He was asked to go to a party by his friends, James and Billy. They wanted to get him out of his slump and depressed stage of his life. They took him out and began having a great time, forgetting all the problems before him. Drinking, girls, smoking, dancing having a goodtime. While Benny was dancing at the this party. James and Billy were at the bar. They meet this one guy, that asked them, if they wanted to try a new high. They sampled what he had and asked if they can get one for their friend. The drink had little to no effect on them at this time.

They got with Benny and told him to drink the drink, and that it will help him feel good. So he did drink the drink. In moments he started to feel weird and acting strange. He began to get nervous not knowing what was going on. He made his way to the lease active area in the club and sat down. The room spinning and colors in his eyes. He felt something was wrong with his drink. Not believing his friends would do something like that.

He reached for his phone to call faith. She answered and he asked her for help to come get him. Knowing that he didn't want to mess up his friends night out. She did not know where he was, but she asked a friend that was going out to party, the same evening. She asked the friend if she just so happened to be at the same party. She asked her if she can find Benny and the friend said they did. The friend brought him to faith’s house. Where she was nursing him to recover and praying for him. That night she was talking to him and rubbing his head, while he rested in her lap. At that moment while rubbing his head. He was looking into her eyes. He had a moment where it came to him that, she was and will always be there for him.

He realized that he needed her in his life. She never gave up on him, through all that he put her through, all the women and drunk nights, and late rides to pick him up. Helped with rent and utility payments here and there. Once he had an event that happened and she was there again. He said in his heart that she was wife material and if he had a wife, she would be like her. He jokingly said to her, let’s get married, but was serious in his heart. She looked at him like he was crazy. She asked if he was for real? She then said, are you serious? She said I hoped one day we would get married, just waited for when. He said are you for real. You feel that way about me? She said laughing. I have always felt this way about you. I was just waiting for you to come around and grow up a little. You were to busy having fun with the guys.

He said, so you would really marry me? The way that I’am. All my flaws and short comings. Yes, Yes, I know your heart and that is what counts. The other things we can work on as long as your willing to work on them. There are somethings I need you to agree with first. He asked what is it? She said the first thing is. I need to be first in your life. I come before everyone naturally. Second leave the crazy life alone, leave the life style alone. Third, please let go of those two friends of yours. They are bad influences on you. They are going to destroy our relationship. He said I have no problem with being able to do that. My friends gave me something bad to drink without telling me. How could I ever trust them again? I’m over that life now, I seen where it goes. She said if you really mean it. Then when is the wedding? They both laughed. As time went by, they got married. No one knew until they came back from the honey moon.

At that time he has had no contact with his friends James & Billy. Since the incident at the party. He has been living with Faith since then. She told her family and they were so happy, that they got married. They were waiting on her to marry him for the longest. She talked about him for years, about how she had feelings for him. At this time she had took a long vacation from her job, to enjoy her husband. Once the vacation ended, she returned back to work. She had a very heavy work load once she got back.

At this time Benny was not working and really had nothing to do. He started to feel bad that he wasn’t able to support her. Having someone provide all his needs, made him feel worthless. She noticed in his conversation how he was feeling. His pride was starting to come around. She was already talking to people at her job to get him a position at her job. She approached him one night and told him, she can tell this is not feeling good for him. He said he just feels lost and feels less of a man. He told faith: I clean up the house, I stay home, I don’t deal with my friends, its just us every night. I just want to do something different.

She advised him that he will get his chance to get his own money and feel better about himself. That he will also get new friends. It had been about one year. One day he was watching t.v and was really bored. So he went outside to take a walk. While walking, he ran into his old friends Billy & James. They began to talk and catch up on old times. They got the talking about the incident at the bar. Billy told him they had nothing to do with that. They didn’t know something was in the drink. He believed Billy and he had gained his friends back. They walked and talked all day. Once faith returned home, she didn’t see Benny. She called him through out the house.

She called his phone which he left home at the time. She was not able to contact him. He returned home and faith was waiting up for him. She asked where he was, he told her he went out for a walk, and was doing some thinking. She knew in her heart that, something wasn’t right. She advised him to get ready for that job. She brought him a book that will help him do the job and keep the job. She advised him to make sure he studies it. She said it’s not a test that you have to take. Day’s went by and he started to hang with his old friends against her wishes. So slowly they started getting back into the flow of things. They asked him, why he stayed away so long. He said my wife asked me to stay away from you guys. She felt you were bad for me.

Billy responded your wife? When and who? Benny told them it was Faith. They told him that they already knew that Faith was after Benny and he couldn't see it but they did. Then James said bad for you? James said no disrespect to her but, she is being very controlling over your life. What’s wrong with having fun? We not out here killing anybody. She got you at home with no money, and nothing to do. She has taken away your manhood. She’s getting you a job, and at the same time telling you to stay home. Stay away from your friends and make her first. That’s control, I wouldn’t do that. I have no wife, I leave and come as I feel. I spend my own money and have my own money. Benny what happened to you? He replied, I love her and willing to do anything for her. She has always been there for me.

They said we have too. They said they can get him a job, before the other one comes in. It will be great money and you can buy cars and clothes and get so many girls and have so much fun. I know you want that. Your acting like you don’t. You do. You are the same Benny. We know you better than anyone else. In his heart he wanted to surprise her with the job, So he can show her he can get one on his own. So, he didn’t tell her, plus she didn’t want him dealing with them. He never told her, that he had got a job and then started hanging out back with Billy and James.

One day he was working late and faith called and asked where he was. He didn’t want to hold it any further and told her that he was working. He had a job and he was going to surprise her with a gift after he got his first check. She said that’s great, but what happened to waiting for the job I had lined up for you? She then asked what kind of job is it? He told her, left out certain details. The late nights and the parties and the drinking started coming back, He didn't even realize he was back in that life again. Faith already knew, what was going on. She can smell the drinking and can see the changes in his thinking and his clothes. She would call him multiple time at night and he wouldn’t pick up.

Faith started getting upset. One night she called him and left him a message, letting him know that. She knows he has been hanging out with James and Billy again. She has been watching him and noticed these patterns, which was very familiar with her. She reminded him about what he told her, about hanging out and leaving that life behind. She said, she still loves him. He has put his friends before her. Like he said he wouldn’t do. At that time he was not able to get the message. He was too busy partying. Later he realized he missed a message. He listened to it and realized how he has fallen back into the life. He began to cry, he realized his ways.

James saw his face and came over there with a young pretty girl, to get his mind off what he was crying about. He guested it was his wife, and in his heart wanted them to break up, so they could get their friend back. She began to talk to him as he cried and looked at his phone. Not hearing what the young lady was talking about. He got up and left the party and got home. Faith was sitting in the living room waiting on him. He ran to her and kissed her and said he was sorry for what he did. After they talked and got everything straight. She asked him do you love me? He said yes. She said then you would keep our agreement right. He said yes.

Somehow after a period of time. He began to slowly go back doing it again. He felt that he could control his surroundings and not get caught up this time. His friends influence was to strong for him. He cheated again and didn’t want to tell anyone. This time the lady he sleep with, had a boyfriend that found out, what they slept with each other. He looked for Benny for weeks, with the info he got from his wife.

Faith one day came up to the job to surprise Benny for lunch and she over heard this guy on the phone, planning to shoot Benny. She went to go and find Benny and the boyfriend found him at the same time. He pulled out a gun, while Benny almost unaware. Faith yelled Benny’s name as she ran to him and jump in front of the guy as he pulled out a gun to shoot Benny. She got shot and the guy ran away from the scene. Faith laid on the floor, dying from the bullet wound.

Time past and faith still lived and Benny nursed her back to health. One day she was in the bed and he held her head and asked her if this looked familiar? She laughed, but in her heart wondered if he really loved her. She asked him. How long will it take for you to see, that I love you? She said you have shown you really don’t love me. Saying it and doing it are two different things. He told her he wanted to do better. He promised her he will. Faith told him that the job was ready and he told her. He wanted to get one on his own. She said it will be there if he wants it. The company kept the job open for him, because of who she was. He found a job after a while and things were good. He came home. They went out. No friends. Everything going really good. Faith felt in her heart that Benny was about to do something. Something that would test their love once again.

Faith had to go on a business trip. Due to Benny just starting his job, he couldn’t go. She only had one request before she left. She asked Benny, please stay away from Billy and James. He said sure thing. She said they are going to destroy our relationship and your life. I just know this she said. He reminded her that he was done with that. She then went off to the trip. Benny was left at home alone. A few days passed by and Benny gets a call. The family called him, letting him know that his Grandmother was dying. They called the family to the hospital for last goodbye. When he arrived his friends and family were there. Billy and James, due to being a part of the family for so long. Benny was really hurt, due to this event.

After his Grandmother passed on. He went into a store to be alone and call his wife to let her know what had happened. Multiple calls and she never picked up the phone. He was hurting so and needed someone to talk to. One of the girls at the hospital was one of Benny’s old girlfriend’s that was close to the family. She walked in and started talking to. She started to get him to feel like his wife didn’t care. She spoke with smooth words to get him upset and feel that she's not there for him. Benny remembered they had a bad break up in the past. Asking himself why she is talking to him. He went to call faith again, and she told him to stop and let her call back if she cares.

She told him they can go some where and talk and he went back to his place. He remembered the talk he had with his wife and told the girl. He can’t do this after she stared into his eyes, and made comments of sexual acts. She advised him that she is just here to help at this time, his wife is not able to. Next thing, they slept together. Faith had called him back multiple times. She was not able to get his calls because, She had left her phone in the hotel room. Rushing to a meeting that she was late for. His phone had died and this point, he was so distracted he forgot to charge it. She left multiple messages on the phone.

When he woke up and charged the phone and heard the messages. He realized why he didn’t get a call back. He found a letter on the table from the girl. She wrote about some things in the pass and how he hurt her. So she wanted some pay back and let him know that she had A.I.D.S and she now gave it to him. He was destroyed in his heart. He began to cry because. He finally found that he keeps messing up on the woman he loves. He had many thought in his head. Should he and should he not tell faith. Does he love her enough to tell her. How can he continue to be with her, without hurting her. He didn’t want her to be right about what she said.

The next day Faith showed up and surprised him, due to her still having a week on the trip left. She said she came back because he needed her there. He was more important than the trip. He just cried and cried. She knew in her heart that something happened more than his grandmother passing. She happened to see the letter on the table. After reading it, she didn’t say anything and walked off. She came back after thinking to herself. She told him she forgives him. She said I still love you but we can no longer deal with each other in that manner. I’m still married to you and I will stay true to the words I spoke, when we got married. You say you love me, but do the opposite every time I turn around. I rather you tell me you don’t love me, and keep on doing what you do.

You love yourself more than you love me. All of your actions came from how you felt. Not what it would do to us. You were being very selfish about this relationship. What happened to what I asked from you? Would it be right to divorce you? I feel it would, but I can’t. My word is the only thing I have in this world and I stand strong by it. I had great things lined up for you and us. You didn’t want it. You rather the drama and the pain and the heart ache. I honor this, I will be here when you turn around. He was so upset at his self. He packed up and left and told her he was so sorry and they both cried and departed. He went back to Billy and James and started that life all over again, because it was familiar to him.

That’s how he chose to deal with the pain. He slept with a girl one night and didn’t tell her he had H.I.V and her roommate came home and saw him. She asked her if she had slept with him and she kept asking why. She finally to her that she had slept with him and was it was unprotected. She said he could be infected with the H.I.V. She said you did that on purpose and he didn't know? She said yes, she was getting back at him. She was so dangerously mad. She told her friend to leave the house. She started thinking about what just happened and she lost it and killed Benny and then killed herself. In her heart she said she couldn’t live the rest of her life like that.

Faith heard the news and her heart was destroyed and hurt. How she loved him so and didn’t want that for his life. Only if he would had waited for things to turn around and give love a chance. None of this would have happened.

So many times we say we love the Lord. We tell him we do and we say we will stop doing things, but find ourselves doing the very thing we say we will not do. We out here in this world and evil is pulling on us at every turn. We sometimes stop and say we give our life to the Lord and we do good for a little while and then we turn back. He died for us and got up for us. He has helped us out even when we didn't do anything to deserve it. All he asks is that we live for him and put him first. Leave the things alone that will destroy our relationship with him. He wants the best for us. Even when we think we know what's best for us. The Lord loves you and he has great things planned for you. This time love him and mean it. Don't become another
